FAQ

Q1.How much does it cost to rent a bobcat/skid steer?

Q2. How much does it cost to have someone operate a mini loader/ dingo?

A. Generally earthmoving specialists will charge a minimum of $600, and jobs can increase past $10,000 dollars depending on the job size and difficulty.

Q3. Do I need a license for a mini bobcat/ skid steer?

A.According to Worksafe (23/10/18), a certificate is no longer required to operate an earth moving or particular crane (EPC) occupational class of machinery; meaning that anyone from the public is welcome to come and use our entire range of excavatorsmini loaderstrenchers and bobcats, without needing licensing.

Q4. What does a bobcat/ skid steer do?

A. A bobcat/ skid steer is a hydraulic construction/ digging machine that consists of a boom arm-mounted bucket, attached to a rotating cabin above driving tracks. It is used primarily for digging wide trenches, holes and general earth moving. Excavators are preferred when a wide range of motion is needed. For a smaller machine designed to move the earth, a mini loader is recommended.

Q5. How to use a bobcat/ skid steer?

A. (Please refer to the linked video) An mini loader uses a simple system of joysticks and handles to both drive and operates its tracks, arms, and attachments. The skills required to operate one can easily be learned within 10 minutes of use.
